Pre 1933 Gold Coins
Pre-1933 gold coins are those that the U.S. Mint minted before the government outlawed gold ownership in 1933. President Roosevelt issued Executive Order 6102, which required Americans to surrender all of their gold, including gold bars and coins, during the worst of the Great Depression.
